At ARK Architects, we once again had the privilege of attending the Salone del Mobile in Milan, the leading international meeting point where design, creativity, and innovation shape the present and future.
This year, the fair was attended by Manuel Ruiz Moriche, Creative Director and Co-founder of ARK Architects, together with our interior design team, reaffirming the importance of this event within our creative process and ongoing evolution as a studio.
Milan Design Week 2026 has once again transformed the city into a true creative laboratory. Far beyond a trade fair, this event has become a global experience where disciplines, lifestyles, and new ways of understanding design converge. During these days, Milan turns into a living stage where every corner invites discovery, experimentation, and a renewed interpretation of the relationship between space, object, and emotion.
For us, being part of this environment is essential. The architecture we conceive is rooted in a holistic vision, where every element—light, materials, proportions, and sensations—exists in harmony. Returning to Milan is therefore not just a professional visit, but an opportunity to continue evolving, questioning, and enriching our perspective.
Throughout our visit, we explored both the Salone and the Fuorisalone, where the city opens up to hundreds of interventions, immersive installations, and temporary spaces that explore new languages in contemporary design. This year, we observed a clear shift towards the fusion of disciplines: design, art, and technology intertwine to create increasingly sensory, emotional, and narrative-driven experiences.
As a fundamental part of our journey, we had the opportunity to visit and engage with some of the most renowned brands in the industry, including Minotti, Flexform, Molteni&C, Poliform, Poltrona Frau, Gessi, and Roda. These brands represent excellence in design and craftsmanship, continuously setting the standard in quality, innovation, and sophistication. Their ability to reinterpret materials, explore new forms, and maintain a strong identity remains a constant source of inspiration for our studio.
Among the key takeaways from this edition, we highlight the evolution towards more honest and natural materials, the prominence of organic and sculptural forms, and an increasingly subtle integration of technology. All within an approach where design is not only observed, but truly experienced.
We return from Milan with new ideas, renewed inspiration, and the certainty that design continues to be a powerful tool to transform the way we inhabit the world. Once again, this experience reinforces our commitment to timeless, emotional architecture, deeply connected to people.
Thank you, Milan. Until next time.
