Villa Watchtower, one of ARK Architects’ residential projects in La Reserva de Sotogrande, has been selected by Archiproducts as one of “The 6 Most Loved Interior Design Projects of August”, an international selection highlighting projects that stand out for their approach to light, materials, and the relationship between architecture and tradition.
The publication specifically credits Manuel Ruiz Moriche and ARK Architects as the designers of the project and focuses on some of the defining elements of Villa Watchtower: its integration with the Sotogrande landscape, the way light and vegetation are introduced through patios and terraces, and a material palette based on natural stone, wood, and water.
Located at one of the highest points of La Reserva de Sotogrande, Villa Watchtower is conceived around a continuous relationship between interior and exterior. Full-height glazing opens the home to its surroundings, while cantilevers and vertical screens filter the intensity of the Andalusian sun without interrupting the views.
Landscaped patios bring nature into the heart of the house and articulate the different spaces, creating an architecture in which light changes throughout the day and becomes part of the experience of living in the home.
Archiproducts also highlights the restrained selection of natural materials that defines the project. Stone, wood, and water create a serene and timeless atmosphere, in constant dialogue with the surrounding landscape.
One of the most distinctive elements of Watchtower is its infinity pool, conceived as a visual extension of the architecture towards the horizon. From the house, the water appears to merge with the landscape, reinforcing the sense of openness that runs throughout the entire project.
This recognition is complemented by the inclusion of Villa WATCHTOWER / ARK Architects in Archilovers’ international “Most Loved of August” selection, published on August 30, further consolidating the project’s presence among the month’s most appreciated architectural works across both platforms.
