Virtual Reality – ARK Architects at the Technological Forefront
Technology, innovation and progress are fundamental aspects of human history in the search for a better quality of life. At present, this affirmation is even more important due to the great amount and quality of technological advances that we are experiencing.
In ARK Architects we are aware of the fact that technology is constantly improving and offering us new possibilities to develop the best product for our clients. For this reason, we are always researching and implementing new ways of designing and communicating architecture.
To this end, ARK Architects is using state-of-the-art software and hardware to create real-time immersive experiences focused on a better understanding of unbuilt architecture. In addition, the creation of our own virtual reality and interactive apps allows us to go beyond the traditional concept of an architectural project.
What is Virtual Reality?
VR is a computer generated simulation of a three-dimensional interactive environment, that is experienced by using a VR Headset. In other words, the user is able to live a photo-realistic experience in any imaginable 3D space, mainly using sight and hearing senses.
Since the beginning of the concept of “architectural project” architects of all times have been trying to design from the closest possible approach to reality, in order to visualize how their future works would be like. Technology and professionals of all fields made that possible while creating paintings, sketches, perspectives, drawings, photographs, physical models, real scale models and finally 3d virtual models.
In this sense, ARK Architects’ approach is oriented to create unique experiences in each of the projects we develop. Furthermore, we focus on the positive impact that the emotion of living architecture can induce to people’s quality of life.
With this in mind, VR becomes the most powerful solution for us when testing, feeling and presenting unbuilt architectural projects. The design process becomes a synthesis of living experiences instead of preconceived ideas, allowing us to verify and explore the best decisions for each project from a human point of view.
Moreover, being able to probe a work in progress makes us more efficient, resourceful and confident in our work while achieving a better communication with clients and other professionals. In fact, living immersive experiences leads to a trustworthy sense of information and understanding of the project concept and its future behavior in the physical world.
Ultimately, virtual and interactive experiences translate into creating unique living atmospheres that give invaluable comfort and emotional information, making easier the decision to acquire a work of architecture such as an ARK’s luxury villa.
